My mom and I went for a walk in the woods. Bloodroot, wild ginger, trillium, blue cohosh, wild strawberry, crabapple blossoms everywhere. The clouds burst open and an old birch split in two.
and i’m back in ontario for the summer. working in the parks & recreation department like april ludgate, stoked on new slacks like jon glaser. eating lunch by the river. looking after my favourite golden retriever. watching hockey and sitting on the porch and daydreaming. missing my victoria friends and newfoundland friends and girlfriend, but i feel balanced and sure of myself and positive about being here. taking it as it comes.
